Wooden Float
What it is
A wooden float is a flat, rectangular wooden board with a handle, used to smooth and finish wet plaster, render or concrete. Wood leaves a slightly rough, even surface.
Typical uses
It is used by plasterers and concrete workers after the mix has been screeded, to bring the surface to a flat texture and prepare it for the final finish.
When you enquire
Tell us the length you prefer and whether you use it on plaster or concrete.
Care and handling
Wash the float clean with water straight after use and let it dry naturally, since dried plaster warps and roughens the wood. Store it flat or hung, and replace it if the face is worn uneven.
Wooden Float is one of 46 items in our agricultural supplies range. Others in the same range include Crow Bar, Spade, Hammer.
