Masonry Trowel
What it is
A masonry trowel is a flat, pointed steel blade on a handle for picking up, spreading and shaping mortar and cement when laying bricks or blocks.
Typical uses
It is used by bricklayers and builders to spread mortar, butter bricks, cut the excess and point joints. Garden builders use it too for small walls.
When you enquire
Tell us the blade size you prefer, since larger blades carry more mortar and smaller ones suit pointing.
Care and handling
Wash off mortar before it dries and dry the blade to prevent rust. Do not use it as a chisel or pry bar, and check the handle is firmly attached to the shank.
