Auger Drill Bit
What it is
An auger drill bit is a long spiral bit that bores a deep round hole in soil, ice or wood and lifts the loose material up the spiral as it turns. It attaches to a drill or a powered drive.
Typical uses
It is used to dig holes for fence posts, tree planting, fertiliser placement and irrigation stakes, without shovelling.
When you enquire
Tell us the hole diameter and depth you need and the drive you will use so the shank matches.
Care and handling
Clear soil and roots from the spiral after each hole and clean and dry the bit before storing. Do not force it against rocks, and use a drive with enough torque and a secure grip so it cannot kick back.
