Pointed Hoe
What it is
A pointed hoe has a blade that narrows to a tip. The point lets it dig narrow furrows, pull soil aside and cut through small roots with a chopping stroke.
Typical uses
It is used for making seed rows, earthing up potatoes and other row crops and for weeding between plants where a wide blade would damage the crop.
When you enquire
Tell us the crops you plan to work with and whether you want a long or short handle.
Care and handling
Sharpen the tip and edge with a file when they round over, and wipe the blade clean and dry after work. Check the handle fit, and use a chopping motion rather than levering against stones.
Pointed Hoe is one of 46 items in our agricultural supplies range. Others in the same range include 20-Pack Seed Starter Tray, 10-Set Seed Sprouter Tray, Hand Grub Hoe.
