Garden Hand Tiller
What it is
A garden hand tiller, also called a hand cultivator, is a manual tool with curved tines on a handle that you twist or pull through the soil to loosen it and pull out weeds.
Typical uses
It is used in flower beds, raised beds and vegetable rows, and in pots and planters, for breaking up crusted soil and mixing in compost without power equipment.
When you enquire
Tell us whether you want a short-handled model for beds and pots or a long-handled one for standing work.
Care and handling
Scrape soil off the tines after use and wipe them dry, then rub a thin film of oil on the metal. Avoid prying against stones, which bends the tines, and store it hung up or under cover.
